a Creative Capital project

Martha Colburn: Born in rural Pennsylvania, USA, Martha Colburn is an artist filmmaker based in Los Angeles, CA and Amsterdam, The Netherlands. She is a 2015 recipient of the Creative Capital Award for her film 'Western Wild'. Her films have screened in the Venice Biennelle, The Stedelijk Museum, Art Basel, Sundance Film Festival and Cannes Film Festival. In 2010 her films were included in the collection of the Philadelphia Museum of Art and the Museum of Modern Art in New York. In 2013 her film 'Metamorfoza' was commissioned by and performed by the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra.
