Karl Friedrich May lived from 1842-1912 in the German Empire, under King Wilhelm II.
Wilhelm II was the last
German Emperor and King of Prussia from 1888-1918. He was theatrical, arrogant
and hysterical and Paraded in the streets with new flamboyant poses and costumes.
